Major Achievements

 ♦ The data management at the BBMP War Room and Data analysis along with issuing of SOPs, Advisories, Containment Zone Orders, has ensured the right information flow and effective management in containing the spread of the pandemic.
 ♦ BBMP War Room virtual demonstration was carried out on 11.04.2020 before the Committee for developing and implementing a Citizen App Technology Platform for combating COVID-19 constituted by the Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India.
 ♦ Smart Cities Mission launched Tech Clinic: Webinar series for COVID19 Crisis Management. BBMP Commissioner demonstrated the BBMP COVID-19 War Room model along with MD, Bengaluru Smart City, and Special Officer War Room to all the Smart Cities on 21.05.2020. Technology partners associated with the War Room also shared their solutions with other cities.
 ♦ Shared Bengaluru War Room initiative and COVID19 management experience along with MD Bengaluru Smart City in a webinar jointly held by World Economic Forum & Smart Cities Mission to discuss the use of technology & ways to build resilient cities. Smart Cities Mission has been an incredible platform for leveraging the strength of partnerships in governance and crisis management as Bengaluru Smart City collaborated with technology partners virtually and provided the data analysis and management necessary for strategic decision making. The attempts of Bengaluru as a fore-runner in leveraging technology were appreciated by all the Speakers on this international platform.
 ♦ Secretary, MoHUA mentioned War Rooms & Preparedness of Bengaluru in fighting COVID-19 at the launch of the TULIP program of Smart Cities Mission by Hon’ by Union Ministers Dr.R.P. Nishank & Mr. Hardeep S Puri at New Delhi on 04.06.2020. “ Containment zone mapping & Predictive modeling initiated by Bengaluru is a model for all the cities & many cities are following this” remarked Secretary, MoHUA.

 The entire exercise presents a classic case of Public-Private Partnerships and application of Technological Interface for Public Health from micro-level management to macro-scale perspectives. The Centre for Smart Governance, Government of Karnataka has provided technical support too. The Honorable Chief Minister, Government of Karnataka, and the Chief Secretary, Karnataka have visited and given valuable inputs for the integration of information and dissemination to the citizens from the War Room. War Room is fully Operational and is being improved constantly. Preparedness is the key to Crisis Management. Data Modelling and Data Dissemination only get better with the analysis of Data Sets and Data Interpretation.
